Terms of Use

1. General

These terms govern the use of the PLACE messenger: the iPhone app and the server it works with. By creating an account or using PLACE you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The service

PLACE is a free messenger for private chats, groups, and voice and video calls. The service is evolving: features may appear, change or be removed. We work to keep PLACE stable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

PLACE is not meant for emergency calls. In an emergency, call your local emergency number with a regular phone call.

3. Your account

• Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple. You must be at least 13 years old.
• An account works on one iPhone at a time: signing in on another one ends the session on the previous one.
• You are responsible for everything that happens in your account and for the security of your iPhone.
• Your username and name must not impersonate another person or organization, infringe anyone's rights or be offensive. We may change or release such a username.
• Do not create accounts automatically or use them in bulk.

4. What is not allowed

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. On PLACE you must not:

• share child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes minors;
• incite violence, terrorism or extremism, threaten, stalk, harass or bully people, or promote hatred;
• share other people's personal data or intimate images without consent;
• send spam, commit fraud or phishing, or impersonate others;
• distribute malware or malicious links;
• infringe copyright or other rights of third parties;
• sell or advertise illegal goods or services;
• interfere with the service: bypass limits, overload the servers, look for or exploit vulnerabilities, or access other people's accounts;
• otherwise break applicable law.

5. Your content

Everything you send belongs to you. You give us the right to store and transmit it only as far as PLACE needs to work: to deliver it to the people you talk to and to keep it in the archive while the archive is on. You are responsible for what you send and for having the rights to it.

6. Reports and blocking

• You can block anyone: they will no longer be able to message or call you in a direct chat.
• To report a user or content, write to official.iki.technologies@gmail.com or contact support on Telegram: t.me/iki_support. Give the user's username and describe what happened; attach a screenshot if you can.
• We review reports within 24 hours. When a violation is confirmed, we remove the objectionable content from the server and restrict or delete the offending account.

7. Suspension and deletion

We may restrict or delete an account that breaks these terms or threatens the safety of other people or the service, with an explanation where possible. You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.

8. Rights to PLACE

The PLACE name, logo, design and code belong to its developers. These terms let you use the app for personal purposes but do not transfer any rights in it. You may not copy, modify or distribute the app without our permission.

9. Disclaimer and liability

PLACE is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the service will work without interruption, that every message and call will be delivered, or that data will never be lost. Keep anything important elsewhere too. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data, or the actions of other users.

10. App Store

If you installed PLACE from the App Store, these terms are between you and the developers of PLACE, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its operation, support or any claims about it and has no obligation to maintain it. You also follow the App Store usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is published on this page with its date; we will tell you about significant changes in the app. If you keep using PLACE after the changes, you accept them.
